1 Thessalonians:

THE MINE Bible Study is currently on break but will resume on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 6:45p in the sanctuary for a special summer series on 1 Thessalonians. 

This book can and will be applied to many of today's situations in life. Is it possible to always be joyful? What did Paul mean when he said “do not put out the Spirit’s fire” and to “test everything”?  How does God expect us to be thankful in all circumstances and where does praying continuously fit in?  What does God’s word promise us about our loved ones that have died and are, as the Bible put’s it, sleeping?  By the time Pastor Jeff finishes 1 Thessalonians you’ll have the answers to these and many other questions.

This letter gives us the confidence as Christians that, dead or alive, when Christ comes back we will be together with Him. It assures us that we won’t receive God’s wrath but instead we will be wrapped in the peace, love and joy of His grace. Most importantly 1 Thessalonians instructs us on how to walk the Christian life each and every day.  In our ever more complex lives and in this difficult environment we need this wisdom to improve our walk with the Lord and strengthen our relationships.

Don't worry about missing a session or two as each night is a stand alone message.  And your level of experience with the Bible does not matter.  You simply must come see Pastor Jeff in action and experience what the buzz about God's Word is all about!
