The Mine Bible study is the general, weekly Bible study class of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church. It is for those who want to "dig deep" into God’s word. The classes are taught with relevance and passion by Pastor Jeff Royce. The Mine is a verse by verse Bible study where we will be discovering more about God, His will for us, ourselves and how we should relate to others. The more we know about God, the more manageable life becomes. The more we know about ourselves, the more significant we become. The more we know about others, the more we will value building and maintaining quality relationships.

Each Bible study class is designed as a "stand alone" session with its own set of messages. So you don't have to worry about missing a class or two and then being lost in the next class that you attend. Just come when you can! Students of The Mine are men and women of all ages and backgrounds with varying levels of experience with the Bible from beginners to the advanced. Current Study THE FALL SESSION - BOOK OF JAMES The FALL  session will begin on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 with a study of the book of James. We see in the Book of James a challenge to “walk the walk” and “talk the talk” of a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.  Spiritual maturity requires continued growth in the knowledge of God’s Word but James encourages us to put our faith into action in all we do and say.  James focuses on the truths of Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount and motivates us to act upon what He taught. The first chapter begins by describing the overall traits of the faith walk. Chapter two and the beginning of chapter three cover social justice and a dialogue on faith in action. James then compares and contrasts the difference between worldly and Godly wisdom and asks us to turn away from evil and draw closer to God.  James gives a particularly severe rebuke to the rich who hoard and those who are prideful and self-reliant.  The author ends on a positive note by encouraging us to be patient in suffering, diligent in prayer and to ensure that we care for one another strengthening our faith through fellowship. An unknown author once said: “Faith is not believing in spite of the evidence; faith is obeying in spite of the consequences.” Study the book of James with us and learn to go forth with a faith rooted in love and evidenced by action. NOTE: We are pleased to once again offer child care during the FALL session.
